This was the day of LIZ. Liz is Daddy's cousin and also Amanda's Godmother. She is a wonderful Godmother, to all of our children, as far as I am concerned. She is so sweet and patient. She plays with the girls. Anyway, she had planned to come over Saturday morning to bring Amanda's belated birthday present. The girls captured her and took her to Amanda's room to play dolls. After about an hour I went to check on them and rescue Liz. She was having fun though and eventually they came down so Amanda could open her present. They just love Liz.

Amanda and Daddy

I love going in this building with the veggies. They are so BEAUTIFUL, if veggies can be beautiful. They are displayed so pretty and it is so colorful.
Ryan and the pumkin
The kids pose by the decorated pumpkins. These are always so fun to look at too.
This Bozo pumpkin was really cute
The girls found this cute fountain and couldn't resist
Natalie is such a big girl now
Amanda decided to use some of her tickets on the train ride and she loved it

The FUN SLIDE was a highlight of the day. Eventually, Mommy, Daddy and the girls all went on at once. Each of us held one of the girls on our laps and we went down at the same time. That was wild! Boy, were we moving fast!
Daddy and Ryan enjoy the fair
There was a band playing and people watching all around, with this huge 'dance floor' so the kids boogied on down to the music. They were so sweet to watch. Just moving their bodies to the music and not a care in the world that hundreds of people were watching them.

Liz had told us earlier that day that she was going to the fair w/some friends that evening. We told her we were going too. Never thinking we'd actually run in to her, by the animals, no less. But we did and the girls were so excited to see her twice in the same day!

Baby duckling
Lots of baby chicks
Natalie enjoys a ride on Daddy's shoulders as we stroll thru the fair with the million other people. It was so crowded. We think due to the fact that the day before they closed the fair midday due to the terrential rains. So EVERYONE was there Friday night. Natalie took in the sights and lights and sounds!
The girls wait their turn in line to go on the boat ride
Setting out for their less than 3 minute tour! Beep Beep!
Amanda gets her turn on Daddy's shoulders
Games!
The Home Arts building model
A pretty cake. I always enjoy this building. I love to look at the fancy cakes. This was my favorite one this year!
Natalie was begging for ice cream all night. We finally found a place that served soft-serve w/sprinkles. That is exactly what she wanted, nothing else. So, she was a happy little girl.
Amanda benefited from Natalie's wishes too...MMMMmmmMMMM!
Ice cream w/sprinkles AND a balloon. Amanda was another happy little girl
Amanda especially liked walking around this landscape exhibit. There was a bridge, water falls, etc. Very quaint & cute.
Amanda doesn't waste anything when it comes to sweets
This was a cute little exhibit in one of the buildings. Daddy & the girls went on their camping trip this summer, so this was really fun to look at for all of us.
I liked this mini bedroom exhibit with the lady laying on the bed with her purse and chocolates next to her. Very girly and cute and it reminds me of when I was single in my own apartment. Yes, way back then.
This was the 2nd prize winner for the largest pumpkin. Holy cow!
Have to play the Mouse Game. No prizes though.
Amanda, her balloon and Daddy - does it get any cuter?
Oh yes it does get cuter, Amanda wanted Cotton Candy all night and finally got it, thanks to Grandma Diamond spending her last $4. Anything for the cutie pie.
There they go....
See you next year, Sandwich Fair! We had a lot of fun!
