June 5 - A Full Day of Activities

The girls were with Grandma at their cousins ballet recital and so Ryan and I wasted some time shopping while we waited for them to be done.  After Stein Mart and World Market, we headed over to Toys R Us. Now, Ryan NEVER gets to just hang out at Toys R Us w/just Mommy and do whatever he wants, look at whatever he wants.....it just hasn't happened like that, yet, for this little guy...until today! We spent I don't know how long in there...looking at everything that BOYS like!  I bought him a toy...he was such a good boy and he asked...he never asks for anything.....and then he discovered the GREEN GARBAGE TRUCK he wanted...It was $30 so I told him when he was potty trained we would come back and get it!!!! (little did I know I would have to wait a good 5 more months!) We had a special Mommy & Me time...then it was time to meet the girls, Grandma...and head to Uncle Shaun's apartment....we haven't been there yet...so we had a nice visit there...then took the girls to Grandma Diamond's for a sleepover with Sydney. Grandma gave them all their silky horse pj's and Scott, Ryan and I headed out to Pepe's for dinner and a quiet evening at home!

June 4 - A Beautiful Rainbow....Lisa

Mom and I and the kids were out and about for the day, garage sailing and we were on our way home...it had been raining..and the sky cleared, the sun came out and this beautiful rainbow appeared. These pictures DO NOT do justice for how colorful this rainbow was. It was absolutely the most beautiful, full, bright rainbow I have ever seen.  Mom and I were in awe...so were the kids. I pulled off the side of the road and had to turn back around and find a better spot to get a picture and it was fading by the second.....I'm going to take this as a sign from Heaven, my sister Lisa, that everything is going to be OK. It's never easy and she is never coming back....but we will all be OK. Thanks Lisa, for the beautiful rainbow and a beautiful 5 minutes of awe and amazement for all of us in the car, together.

June 2 - Natalie's 24-HourTransformation...

Ryan tries peeing on the potty!!!! No potty training yet! We had lunch out with Grandma at the Boo-ffet (buffet), the kids' favorite place to eat, to celebrate the first day of summer vacation! We ran in to one of Natalie's classmates there too! And then it was finally her day to get her EARLY 7th GOLDEN BIRTHDAY present....getting her ears pierced! She did great. She was a little nervous but it was over before she could get too nervous! New glasses and pierced ears within 24 hours....Natalie's transformation!  Then Grandma got the girls all new silky pj's at the Carter's store! Later in the evening we had a story time at the library and Amanda wanted to finally get her library card, since she can write her name so well now!
