Mother's Day at Grandma's

We went to Mom's later in the say to celebrate Mother's Day w/Mom and Lisa and also my birthday. Mom and Tom made my dinner request of STEAK and CHEESECAKE for dessert, with chocolate/cherries/carmel for toppings! YUM! It still make me feel special that I can request something for my birthday and Mom makes sure she had it ready for me!

After all of the eating, Rob & Lisa got out their new Wii. We all had fun playing different games. The guys liked the golf & boxing. Lisa and I love the skee-ball. Boy, this activity kept all of us there later than usual that night. Everyone stuck around. So maybe that is the secret family weapon to keep everyone around longer when we get together!?!?
I asked Mary take an official picture of me on my 36th birthday!
Daddy introduces the girls to his iPod to listen to their 'girl name songs', "Oh Sherrie", "Sarah", "Amanda"

Here are THE GORGEOUS Uncle Tony and Ryan!
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Mother's Day 2008

Well, my children (and husband!) sure made me feel appreciated and very Loved on this Mother's Day. I awoke to this :
Yes, my baby holding a card for Mommy

And then the girls presented me w/their cards and flowers AND THEN BREAKFAST IN BED!

Here we are, Mommy and the babes!

This first picture is from a homemade card Natalie made me for Mother's Day. This is what she thinks I look like. I love it, look at that waistline!! :) This was all her idea by the way. She is so thoughtful and creative for only being 4 1/2...once again, she amazes me!
The next picture is one she did at preschool. That's Natalie and I dancing under the sun and heart. For those of you who don't know...Natalie is a 'dress designer' so she actually loves to talk about how her dresses would look (when she becomes a princess & goes to the ball!) in great detail and then began asking me for paper awhile back, to draw her 'sketches'. What can I say? This child had many careers ahead of her. Singing, acting, designing, story-writing, illustrating, Princess, dancing?!?

Mothers Day, Thru the Years - May 11

Wow, another Mother's Day! I can't believe I am celebrating my 5th Mother's Day as a Mommy. I was born on Mother's Day in 1972 as well! The years are truly flying by and especially now that I am a Mommy of THREE! Anyway, Scott and I started a tradition (I love traditions!) when Natalie had her first Mother's and Father's Day we would get pictures taken and then try to do it every year. We've gotten some good ones, ones I will always cherish. I will post from the first year to this year for those of you who haven't seen them all...

2004 - 1st Mother's Day for Natalie & Mommy

2005 - 2nd Mother's Day (pregnant w/Amanda)

2006 - 3rd Mother's Day / Amanda's First

2007 - 4th Mother's Day (pregnant w/Ryan)

2008 - 5th Mother's Day / Ryan's first
And we also got a picture of Grandma, Lisa & I and all of the kids again this year with Ryan being the newest addition and then one of Mom, Lisa and I
Happy Mother's Day!

Celebrations!

May 10th continued w/our monthly get-together w/Dad. We've been doing it since last Fall I believe and it's been working out well. A month for us is nothin', so with the business of our every-day lives now w/3 children we know we will see Papa Dad for sure when we gather for dinner and usually dessert too. This time we celebrated Dad's (Papa) and my birthdays as well as Mother's Day. We usually get some visiting in, lots of food and Papa gets to tickle all of the little ones. Family is #1 and we love any time we can gather with them.

All of our kids took a bath at Auntie's and got in to their pajammies and then we had cake for dessert. Then Ryan told us it was time to go, he wad tired! Of course, Amanda gives us her signature pose. I wonder if this will continue in to her 3's. It's too darn cute.

Little Soccer Stars - May 10

Saturday started with Natalie's spring soccer. She's been doing great and she IS NOT afraid of the bigger kids. In fact, it pays to be little. She can run fast and get right in there and get that ball and she does. She should be getting a ribbon for most goals, really! All that backyard practice w/Daddy and Amanda has paid off. She claims she 'doesn't like it' but when she gets a goal - trust me, she loves the attention and she feels great! We are so proud of her.

OUR Little Soccer Star!
The team
Grandpa Catey got Natalie motivated to go back out on the field and look at that kick!

Fun Fair!

Natalie's preschool had their FUN FAIR on May 9. I volunteered to help with the games for the first hour and then Scott showed up w/the girls for the second hour. Mom watched Ryan. It was so cute...on the way to dropping me off to work at the fun fair, I told Natalie I was 'going to work' and she was quite confused, responding, "You are going to Daddy's work?!" and I said "Just wait & you'll see". So I pulled in to her school parking lot and she was so excited "You are going to work at my school?!" So Mom took all 3 kids (thanks again Mom!) while I "worked". It was actually a lot of fun and it went quick. Before I knew it, Scott and the girls were there. Rob, Lisa and Sydney joined us as well. Games, prizes, face painting, candy, popcorn...fun was had by all! Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa's and ordered PIZZA!

The girls LOVED the face painting and they looked ADORABLE!
Doesn't Amanda look like such a BIG GIRL in this picture w/her lolli?
The girls try out the Lollipop game and Daddy tries on some new glasses we just WON! Cool, Daddy!
