July 14 - Ryan's Mid-Summer Preschool Ice Cream Social, Etc.

Here we are all dreaming of our iPods!

Lunch @ Buona Beef. The kids earned free lunches thru the reading program at the library!

Miss Lisa and Miss Shelly always host a mid-summer ice cream social at the preschool the kids look forward to it and it definitely was an incentive for Ryan to potty train...since he found a GREEN GARBAGE TRUCK toy that he loved!! :)

A late-night impromptu trip to Trader Joe's.

July 13 - The Flamingos

A local fundraiser, where you are nominated to get the flamingos in your yard, after paying a donation....Grandma Diamond found out they were going to be landing in her yard...so I surprised the kids by driving out and VOILA, Flamingos!!! Amanda is especially fond of flamingos and was so excited! But all of the kids thought it was so neat. It really was fun and so cute!

Took the kids to see a Spring Movie, Barnyard, at the theater.  $1 each, can't beat that!

July 12 - Tennis Lessons, Mini Golf, Lunch, Baking & Potty Time

The pics here are kinda mixed up but Amanda had a "grandma" day and went mini golfing w/her cousin, had ice cream treats and baked.  The rest of us went to Natalie's first Tennis lesson, Costco w/Grandma and cousins and attended Grandma Diamond's first FREE LUNCH w/the summer Free Lunch program at the Lutheran church.  It was a fun day. Oh and Ryan showed a little interest in sitting on the potty...not getting TOO excited about that...would be nice though, since he's supposed to be starting preschool in September!

July 11 - My Niece's 4th Birthday - Pinata & Dancing

The kids 'got down' to the music, like "Party in the USA" - even Uncle Robbie got in to it! This party was so much fun. A true dream come true for my sister and me, for Sydney.  You see, I went to Lisa's one week before she died, to meet and plan Sydney's birthday party. She wanted me to 'do one of my parties' for Sydney! I felt so honored and excited.  We came up w/a plan. She had notes and I had some notes....she ended up having surgery the day before Sydney's birthday, still wanted family to get together on Sydney's bday even if she was still in the hospital recovering....Lisa never made it thru surgery. So, one year later....we had this party that Mommy dreamed up for Sydney. I was so happy to do it. It meant so much to me. Lisa had already purchased a ton of stuff from the craft store and decorations for the party....and we used all of that to make this party a dream come true.
