Spring Break Highlights

Well, we didn't go away anywhere for Spring Break this year, but we did do a lot of fun things. Here we go.....

On Tuesday, Grandma Catey took us all to McDonald's PlayPlace for lunch and to the movie theatre to see Horton Hears a Who! Natalie was jumping up and down in her seat, screaming, yelling at the screen, so excited, scared. She absolutely loved it. Amanda was glued to the screen too! Ryan eventually gave in and took his nap. Daddy even snuck away from work for a 'long lunch' and saw the movie w/us. Can't wait for this one to come out on DVD!

And then back to Grandma's house to play. Natalie climbed the tree and also found a birdie's nest that had fallen out of the tree on to the ground. I had to put it in a ziploc b/c it was making quite a mess, but here it is.

Wednesday was a day of rest and play at home. Natalie rode her new bike for a few minutes. But still too cold to be outside for too long. She's doing great.

On Thursday, Ryan had his 9-month checkup. Daddy came along too!

Here are his stats:

Weight: 23 lbs.
Length: 28"
75th %'ile

What a big boy. He did great and his doctor was very pleased to see how well he is progressing w/his milestones. So are we! :) And no immunizations this time, yeah!

After Ryan's checkup, we met Grandma Catey and headed to the Children's Museum. It had started snowing and by the time we got there the parking lot was full and it was very chaotic since it was Good Friday and everyone was out of school. I decided at that point we should go there another day and we headed to Odyssey Fun World instead and had an absolute blast!

Although the kids played a lot of games, the funnest part was the EXPLORATION ADVENTURE, where we spent most of our time. You could be in this thing for days!
And we ended the afternoon with snack...Natalie had a big pretzel and Amanda had pink & blue ice cream dots!

Friday...A week off of school and Natalie was looking for a new adventure. She asked us how she could make money. Scott told her she could do chores. At first she didn't think that was such a great idea (but has since bought in to it!) He also mentioned that she could make something and try to sell it to her Grandma (who would buy anything from her wonderful little granddaughter!) So she decided to make art. She designed this dress and came up with a price: 4 quarters + 5 cents ($1.05) - so Scott made a price tag for it, stapled it to her design and we went to Grandma's house. Guess what....Grandma bought it! What a smart little girl Natalie is. What a concept. I don't think I could have been so creative at that age or shoot, even now?!?

Her first piece of art SOLD - for $1.05!

Saturday...

Ryan plays dress-up and masters the pincer grasp with a little star treat!
Sunday...

What a big boy - so strong!
We celebrate Uncle Tony's 27th birthday and Amanda helps him blow out the candles!
