Mom, I and the kids drove up to Michigan for a long weekend. Natalie had a holiday off from school. The trip went well, except about the last hour of it, I started getting sick, really sick. We made it into town to Gram's and it didn't take me long and I was in the bathroom...talking to the porcelain gods. I don't remember being that sick in a very long time. It went in to the next day, too. But I didn't let it ruin my time away from home. The kids couldn't get enough of Maggie and Todd. We went thru a bunch of old letters and cards of Grandma & Grandpa's from back-in-the-day that Deb got out and we reminisced and laughed. The above card is one that Grandma had sent to her brother...it's glamorizing cigarettes and was obviously very old...but nonetheless, very funny!
