June 15 - Butterfly Release, Shopping, Jewelry Store, Rainbow & Mickey D's

It was time to let the butterflies go.  We all got ready, got the camera, video camera and headed outside on this beautiful Summer day.  We opened up the lid and the butterflies flew up and away....one at a time. Some didn't make it very far at first....but our butterflies, who we started with as larvae...were now out in the real world. This was an amazing experience for all of us to see the cycle of life of a butterfly. What a beautiful thing. 

The kids were so proud of themselves. Happy to see their butterflies all grown up but sad to see them go.  

 

Off to the jewelry store to get Mommy's wedding ring inspected! The girls LOVED being in the real jewelry store.

June 13 - Feeding Butterflies Sugar & Scooters/Bikes in the Rain

 

The butterfly habitat has been so fun and exciting.  The butterflies came out of their chrysalis' and are now buterfloies.  We mixed sugar with water and then just soak the paper towel with the sugar water and they go to the sugar on the towel to eat.
